Beginning in 1979, Hank built Brock and Associates, Inc., which was one of the country’s largest independent fee-based financial planning and small-business consulting firms, with headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1997 he sold most of his assets in the fifty-person firm while retaining certain sister companies (see below.) This fee-based financial consulting firm was also a Registered Investment Advisory firm with the SEC, and employed financial planners, attorneys, CPAs, MBAs, CFPs, Chartered Financial Consultants, and others to provide strategic financial and tax planning services to individuals, professionals, and business-owners.
Money Magazine (Fall, 1987) named Hank as one of America’s top financial planners, as selected by his peers (his competitors). Hank’s book, Your Complete Guide to Money Happiness, a 554-page hardback, includes testimonials from John Templeton, Bill Marriott, and 11 other Chief Executive Officers of Fortune 500 companies, plus U.S. Senators, and other investment experts. Readers at Amazon.com have given this book its highest five-star rating. In 2010 he authored Dominoes of Destruction which documents 14 dominoes that could lead to a worldwide economic collapse. Hank has been a guest on CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, Fox (The Bill O’Reilly Factor), and Bloomberg, as well as dozens of other radio and TV programs.
Chartered Financial Consultant
Daniel W. Brock, “Danny,” was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Salt Lake City, UT. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Business with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship.
Since 2004, Danny has worked with seniors providing comprehensive fee-based planning for retirees. He is a Certified Retirement Financial Advisor (CRFA), a program that emphasizes competency in retirement, tax, investments, and estate planning for seniors. He is also enrolled in the accredited Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) program at the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, the most extensive financial planning credential in the industry.
Since 2004, Larry has worked in comprehensive retirement planning with seniors, having participated in hundreds of client meetings, both apprenticing and handling the affairs of numerous clients. He has completed the experience requirements and partially completed the educational requirements for the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) through the fully-accredited American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. This is the most extensive and rigorous financial planning training in the industry. He is a also a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC).
Larry consults clients and regularly attends continuing education courses and conferences in subjects relating to tax planning, investments, retirement planning, estate planning, IRA distribution planning, asset protection strategies, charitable giving strategies, and other topics relevant to seniors. He is an active member of NAIFA and the IARFC.
Client Engagement Manager
Suzanne has had extensive experience with the management of companies and assisting in the development and enhancing the efficiencies of process flows within those companies. Suzanne was formally the general manager of LumaChem and was responsible for the training and the development of the east coast team members. Suzanne did onsite training in doctors' offices on product application and knowledge.
Suzanne is enthusiastic about her work and loves to interact with the associates and administrative members of the Brock and Associates, LLC and feels comfortable at the helm of multiple projects.
Derrick Anderson recently joined the technical services team for Brock and Associates. He manages the day-to-day technical operations of the firm including security and protection of client information, networking, and database management.
Derrick has completed the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) credential, and also provides technical support services to associates in the areas of taxation, investments, and estate planning. He also oversees editorial content for the firm’s client newsletter, Making $ense.
